5,5-Dimethyl-2,3-diphenyl-5,6-dihydroimidazo[1,2-c]quinazoline

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₄H₂₁N₃, was synthesized by the reaction of 4,5-diphenyl-2-(2-nitrophenyl)imidazole with acetone, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent (TiCl₄/Zn). The dihydropyrimidine ring shows a skew-boat conformation.
