Abstract: The title complex, [Cd(C₁₇H₁₃N₂O₂)₂(C₂H₅OH)₂], is centrosymmetric with a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The pyrazolone ring is almost coplanar with the adjacent fused chelate ring [dihedral angle = 2.90  (3)°].
