X. Xiao, W. Xu, Y. Li, B. Zhang and D. Zhu

Abstract: The anion of the title compound, K2[Ni(C3H2O4)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, possesses C2h symmetry. The Ni atom is coordinated by two water molecules and two malonate ligands, with an elongated octahedral environment. Hydrogen bonds between the complex anion and the water molecules of crystallization produce an NaCl-type framework.
