5,5'-Oxybis[2-(phthalimido)acetic acid] N,N-dimethylformamide disolvate

Abstract: The two N-pthaloylglycine moieties of the title compound, C₂₀H₁₂N₂O₉·2C₃H₇NO, are connected through an ether linkage, which apparently has sp² character [O-C = 1.376  (3) and 1.392  (3)  Å; C-O-C = 120.3  (2)°]. The planar N-phthaloyl units are inclined to each other by 65.2  (1)°.
