Abstract: The two N-pthaloylglycine moieties of the title compound, C20H12N2O9·2C3H7NO, are connected through an ether linkage, which apparently has sp2 character [O-C = 1.376 (3) and 1.392 (3) Å; C-O-C = 120.3 (2)°]. The planar N-phthaloyl units are inclined to each other by 65.2 (1)°.
