Abstract: Molecules of the title compound, C14H13NO2, are nearly planar. The molecular structure is stabilized by a strong intramolecular O-H
N hydrogen bond between the imine and hydroxyl groups [O
N = 2.614 (2) Å]. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds [O
O = 2.681 (3) and 2.641 (3) Å] link inversion-related molecules into chains parallel to the a axis.
