4-(4-Methylphenylazo)-2-allylphenol monohydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₆N₂O·H₂O, the azobenzene moiety has a trans configuration, and the two phenyl rings are inclined with respect to each other by 14.23  (17)°. There are intermolecular O-HO and O-HN hydrogen bonds involving the water molecule.
