Abstract: The Cu atom in the title compound, [Cu(C7H6NO2S)2(H2O)2(NH3)2], lies on a special position at a crystallographic inversion centre and has a tetragonally distorted octahedral coordination involving the N atoms of two ammine ligands [Cu-N = 2.010 (2) Å], the N atoms of two pyridylthioacetate ligands [Cu-N = 2.033 (2) Å] and the O atoms of two water molecules [Cu-O = 2.472 (2) Å].
