Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C7H6Br4, has been determined in the orthorhombic space group Pnma. The molecule, consisting of a six-membered ring with four Br atoms and the bridging methylene group, has a boat conformation. The molecule has crystallographic mirror (Cs) symmetry, the mirror plane passing through the atoms of the bridging methylene group.
