Abstract: In the title compound [systematic name: 1,3-di-tert-butyl-5-(3-phenylprop-2-ynylidene)cyclopenta-1,3-diene], C₂₂H₂₆, the rings subtend an interplanar angle of 15.7 (1)°. The triple bond length is 1.205 (3) Å.
