Abstract: The title compound, [Co(C₁₄H₁₄NO₂)₂] (CoSPT), crystallizes with one half molecule per asymmetric unit. The Co atom sits on a twofold axis. The tridentate ligands coordinate to the cobalt ion through the hydroxy O atom and the azomethine N atom, forming a distorted tetrahedral geometry around the metal ion.
