A dinuclear nickel(II) complex of the ligand 2,6-bis[2-(dimethylamino)ethyliminomethyl]-4-methylphenol

Abstract: In the title complex, triaqua{-2,6-bis[2-(dimethylamino)ethyliminomethyl]-4-methylphenolato}--bromo-bromodinickel(II) bromide monohydrate acetonitrile disolvate, [Ni₂Br₂(C₁₇H₂₇N₄O)(H₂O)₃]Br·H₂O·2C₂H₃N, the Ni^II atoms are octahedrally coordinated and the donor groups are different (N₂O₃Br and N₂O₂Br₂), with an intermetallic separation of 3.2346 (9) Å.
