Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C24H21N7)(H2O)](ClO4)2·C6H7NO·H2O, the copper ion is bonded to a tris(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)amine (ntb) and a water molecule, resulting in it being five-coordinate with an N4O ligand set. The coordination geometry of the copper ion may best be described as distorted trigonal bipyramidal, with C3 molecular symmetry.
