Abstract: The title compound, C₁₆H₁₀N₄, has been designed and synthesized for use as a new potential organic molecular electronic material. There are hydrogen bonds in the structure, which are responsible for the formation of linked pairs of molecules. Weak interactions are observed between antiparallel cyano substituents.
