Abstract: The crystal structure of the title copper(II) complex, [Cu(NCS)₂(C₅H₅N)₄], shows a tetragonally distorted octahedral coordination about the central copper(II) ion. The Cu ion lies at a site with $\overline 1$ symmetry.
