Abstract: In the title complex, [Zn₂Cl₄(C₈H₁₃N₃O₄)₂]·2H₂O, the Zn^II atoms have slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The ligands bridge the two Zn^II atoms via an imidazole N atom and an O atom of the carboxylate group. The molecule is centrosymmetric.
