Abstract: The Au atom in the title compound, [Au(C₇H₅N₂)(C₁₈H₁₅P)], displays linear coordination [Au-P = 2.232  (2)  Å, Au-N = 2.022  (5)  Å and P-Au-N = 179.6  (1)°].
