Abstract: The title compound, {[Cu₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)₃](ClO₄)₂·2H₂O}_n, forms a three-dimensional network containing one-dimensional nanoporous channels, accommodating guest water molecules and perchlorate anions. The network consists of [Cu₂(4,4'-bipyridyl)₃]²⁺ cations containing trigonal planar Cu^I centers bonded to three 4,4'-bipyridyl groups.
