2-(2-Pyridylamino)pyridinium perchlorate displaying a one-dimensional hydrogen-bonding supramolecular chain

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C₁₀H₁₀N₃⁺·ClO₄^-, the cation adopts the normal trans-trans configuration and an approximately planar geometry. Hydrogen-bonding interactions between the cations and perchlorate anions extend this structure into a one-dimensional chain architecture.
