Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Co(C7H7N4S2)2]ClO4, which was synthesized solvothermally from cobalt diperchlorate and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone, the two planar thiosemicarbazone ligands are aligned perpendicular to each other. The Co atom is octahedrally coordinated by the S, imino N and pyridinyl N atoms of each ligand. The cation interacts with the perchlorate counterion via hydrogen bonds.
