L-Leucyl-L-isoleucine 0.75 hydrate

C. H. Görbitz

Abstract: The title compound, C12H24N2O3·0.75H2O, crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P62 with four peptide molecules in the asymmetric unit (Z = 24). The structure is very similar to the structure of L-Leu-L-Val·0.75H2O [Görbitz & Gundersen (1996). Acta Chem. Scand. 50, 537-543] and is characterized by a honeycomb-shaped hydrogen-bond pattern with large hydrophobic columns running parallel to the c axis.
