Abstract: The title complex, [Zn(H2O)6](C7H6NO3)2·2H2O, was synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The zinc(II) ion, which lies on a center of symmetry, is coordinated by six water molecules, forming an octahedron. A three-dimensional supramolecular framework is formed via hydrogen bonds between the anions and cations.
