Abstract: The cation and anion of the title compound, [Mn(H2O)6](C10H8O6), lie on inversion centres. The MnII atom is coordinated by six water molecules to form an octahedral coordination geometry [Mn-O = 2.143 (3)-2.228 (3) Å]. The cations and anions are linked by hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
