O)(1,10-phenanthroline-
2N,N')zinc(II)Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C10H10NO3)2(C12H8N2)(H2O)], the ZnII atom is five-coordinated by the two N atoms of the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, two O atoms from two benzoylalanine ligands and one O from a water molecule. The complex exhibits a slightly distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonds of the types N-H
O, O-H
O and C-H
