L-Alanyl-L-threonine

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C₇H₁₄N₂O₄, contains an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the side-chain hydroxyl group and the main-chain carboxylate group. This is the first observation of such an interaction for a C-terminal L-Ser or L-Thr residue.
