Bis(tetramethylammonium) hexaaquacobalt(II) -octamolybdate(VI)

Abstract: The title compound, (C₄H₁₂N)₂[Co(H₂O)₆][-Mo₈O₂₆], contains -octamolybdate ([-Mo₈O₂₆]^4-), tetramethylammonium and [Co(H₂O)₆]²⁺ ions. The [-Mo₈O₂₆]^4- anion and [Co(H₂O)₆]²⁺ cations lie on inversion centers, and the tetramethylammonium cations lie on twofold rotation axes.
