(2-Methylbenzimidazolyl-N)(triphenylphosphine-P)gold(I) hemihydrate

Abstract: The Au^I atom in the title compound, [Au(C₈H₇N₂)(C₁₈H₁₅P)]·0.5H₂O, shows a linear coordination. The tertiary N atom of the anionic group interacts with the uncoordinated water molecule, which lies on a twofold axis.
