2,2'-[(Diphenylsilylene)dioxy]bis(5-chlorobenzophenone)

Abstract: The title compound, C₃₈H₂₆Cl₂O₄Si, was obtained from the tertiary-amine-catalyzed reaction of diphenyldichlorosilane with two equivalents of 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzophenone. As expected, the silicon atom has a distorted tetrahedral environment.
