Abstract: The benzofuran ring system in the title compound, C₁₉H₁₈O₂, is planar and is linked to the mesityl group via an acetyl group. In the crystal structure, symmetry-related molecules are connected to form chains by C-HO intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
