Abstract: In the title complex, [Au(C₂₆H₄₈P₂)₂]Cl·4CHCl₃, the cation and anion lie on twofold rotation axes. The Au atom has a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry, with two chelating diphosphine ligands, and lies far from the anion.
