Abstract: In the molecular structure of the title compound, C₂₀H₂₄O₆, there are eight chiral C atoms. Since an enantiomerically pure starting material was used, it can be confirmed that the synthesis of the title compound is stereoselective. There is an intermolecular hydrogen bond in the structure, leading to the formation of two-dimensional molecular layers.
