Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Pr(C₆H₄NO₂)₃(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂(H₂O)₂]·3H₂O, is composed of a discrete neutral Pr complex and solvent water molecules. The Pr^III center is nine-coordinate and exhibits a monocapped square-antiprismatic coordination geometry formed by three O atoms of distinct nicotinate groups, four N-atom donors of two 1,10-phenanthroline molecules and two aqua ligands.
