Abstract: Cerium cadmium diantimonide, CeCd_0.660 (4)Sb₂, adopts the HfCuSi₂-type structure and is confirmed to have defects in the Cd site. Layers of condensed CdSb_4/4 tetrahedra and square nets of Sb atoms are separated by Ce atoms.
