Abstract: Cerium cadmium diantimonide, CeCd0.660 (4)Sb2, adopts the HfCuSi2-type structure and is confirmed to have defects in the Cd site. Layers of condensed CdSb4/4 tetrahedra and square nets of Sb atoms are separated by Ce atoms.
