Abstract: The reaction of endo-cis-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-diol with BCl₃ followed by acetylation with acetyl chloride gives dichloroconduritol derivatives. The crystal structure of the title compound, C₁₀H₁₂Cl₂O₄, has been investigated. The cyclohexene ring adopts a distorted half-chair conformation.
