(Z)-1-Methoxy-1-phenyl-2-(4-toluenesulfonyl)ethene

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₆O₃S, the methoxy group and sulfonyl moiety are cis with respect to the olefinic bond. The two benzene rings, located trans with respect to the olefin bond, are almost perpendicular to each other, forming a dihedral angle of 75.81  (11)°.
