6-Chloro-3-(p-tolyl)-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2(1H)-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₁₃ClN₂O, was synthesized by the reaction of 5-chloro-N-(p-tolyl)-2-nitrobenzylamine with triphosgene, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent (TiCl₄/Zn). The dihydropyrimidine ring adopts a boat conformation.
