2N,N')copper(II)Abstract: The title compound, [CuCl2(C11H24N2)], crystallizes as four-coordinate monomers with distorted square-planar geometry. The complex is chiral and forms racemic crystals. Molecules which have an S-configuration at nitrogen have a
-conformation of the five-membered chelate ring, and those with R-configuration have a
-conformation. The title compound forms infinite one-dimensional chains via weak intermolecular Cl
H-C hydrogen contacts.
