Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Re(C₅H₅N)(C₁₀H₈N₂)(CO)₃](CF₃O₃S), an emissive molecule, shows the Re centre in the cation to be in a distorted octahedral geometry with a facial disposition of carbonyl ligands.
