Abstract: The Ba^II ion in the title compound, [Ba(C₁₀H₆O₆S₂)(H₂O)₂]_n, is eight-coordinate in a dodecahedral geometry. The coordinated water molecules link the Ba^II ion and the dianion into a three-dimensional network structure.
