Ethyl (3,7-dimethyl-2,6-dioxo-2,3,6,7-tetrahydropurin-1-yl)acetate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₁H₁₄N₄O₄, the ethyl acetate portion of the organic molecule is nearly planar and makes a dihedral angle of 74.55 (6)° with the plane of the theobromine heterocycle. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter- and intramolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds and intermolecular C-HN hydrogen bonds.
