Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(NH3)4](C6H2N3O7)4·3H2O, the ZnII atom is coordinated by four ammine N atoms in a slightly distorted tetrahedron. The phenolate and nitro O atoms of the picrate ions act as acceptors in N-H
O and O-H
O hydrogen bonds, giving a three-dimensional network.
