Bis[tetraamminezinc(II)] tetrapicrate trihydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(NH₃)₄](C₆H₂N₃O₇)₄·3H₂O, the Zn^II atom is coordinated by four ammine N atoms in a slightly distorted tetrahedron. The phenolate and nitro O atoms of the picrate ions act as acceptors in N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds, giving a three-dimensional network.
