5-Fluorosalicylic acid

Abstract: The title compound, C₇H₅FO₃, is nearly planar, and the dihedral angle between the phenyl and carboxyl groups is 4.0 (1)°. There are intramolecular O-HO and intermolecular O-HO and O-HF hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons along the c axis.
