Abstract: In the title compound, C9H17NO3, the pyrrolidine ring is almost planar, in contrast with the classical envelope conformation observed in other pyrrolidine-containing derivatives. The enantiomers are joined into a centrosymmetric dimer by complementary intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds between the hydroxyl and carbonyl groups.
