Abstract: The title compound, racemic 1-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]cyclohexanol, C₁₇H₂₇NO₂, was precisely characterized at ca 110  K, revealing an intramolecularly hydrogen-bonded structure with different conformational features than those observed earlier in its hydrochloride and hydrobromide derivatives.
