Abstract: The title compound, C₁₆H₁₄N₄O₄, acts as an important precursor for the synthesis of Schiff base complexes. The molecule lies across a crystallographic inversion centre. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-HO hydrogen bonds and - interactions.
