DL-Valine DL-valinium picrate

Abstract: The title compound, C₅H₁₂NO₂⁺·C₆H₂N₃O₇^-·C₅H₁₁NO₂, crystallizes in the monoclinic system with one valinium cation, one valine molecule and one picrate anion in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal structure, the valinium cation is linked to the picrate anion via O-HO hydrogen bonds.
