Abstract: In the title compound, [ZnCl2(C19H13N5)]·C3H7NO, the ZnII cation shows distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination by three N atoms and two Cl atoms, the latter occupying equatorial sites. N-H
O and N-H
Cl hydrogen bonds help to stabilize the crystal packing.
