Abstract: The title compound, [Zn(C₅H₇O₂)₂(CH₄O)₂], crystallizes with the octahedrally coordinated Zn atom on a centre of inversion and one bidentate acetylacetonate anion and one methanol molecule in the asymmetric unit.
