[Benzoylacetone (4-methoxybenzoyl)hydrazonato-³O,N²,O']dichloroiron(III)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Fe(C₁₈H₁₇N₂O₃)Cl₂], the Fe^III species has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry, defined by two O atoms and one N atom from the tridentate hydrazone ligand and two Cl^- anions. A hydrogen-bonded dimer is formed via two N-HCl intermolecular hydrogen bonds across a center of inversion.
