Ethyl 3-amino-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-benzo[f]chromene-2-carboxylate

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₂H₁₈ClNO₃, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-naphthol with ethyl 2-cyano-3-(4-chlorophenyl)acrylate in the presence of triethylbenzylammonium chloride in water. X-ray analysis reveals that the pyran ring adopts a boat conformation.
