Abstract: The title compound, C₂₃H₂₆FNO₃·H₂O, has been synthesized by the reaction of hydroxylamine with 4-fluorobenzaldehyde and dimedone in ethylene glycol under microwave irradiation. X-ray analysis reveals that the dihydropyridine ring adopts a boat conformation.
